Here in Greece, the Catholic Church celebrates the Lenten and Easter season with the Greek Orthodox calendar. Meaning, all year round we coincide with the regular Catholic calendar apart from Lent and Easter, up to Pentecost. Therefore, this year, Lent began March 18th for the Catholic Church in Greece, and will end May 4th, with Easter on May 5th, and Pentecost on May 19th. After Pentecost, the calendar will go back to the Catholic calendar. This was decided because of the many mixed families of Catholics and Greek orthodox that live in Greece, that they may celebrate Lent and Easter together. Therefore, here is the upcoming schedule of the Holy Triduum, apart from Maundy Thursday, for the Catholic Church in Kavala. May God bless you and keep you.
May 3rd (Good Friday): 6:00 pm
May 4th (Holy Saturday): 8:00 pm
May 5th (Easter Sunday): 10:00 am
