Mass for the Feast of the Assumption

On Thursday August 15th, 2024 there will be a Mass at 10:00 am for the feast day of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, at the Catholic Church in Kavala. The gates should be open around 9:30 am.

Come to celebrate this glorious feast with the most pleasing and powerful offering that we can make to God, which is the sacrifice of the Mass. Let us pray for peace, and the protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary in these coming times, that we may go forward with no fear, staying under the Mantle of the Holy Mother of God and away from every danger. Let us please our Heavenly Mother by making a good confession with a strong resolve to avoid sin; to correspond to the Lords Grace that we may keep His commandments and follow His Will, and a fervent Holy Communion uniting ourselves with the sacrifice of Jesus for the salvation of souls. We hope to see you on this triumphant feast day. May God be with you and may the Blessed Virgin Mary protect you.

Confession can be asked for either before the Mass or after, and can be done in either English or Greek.
